our mission

The Pacific Northwest is one of the most beautiful, exciting, and awe-inspiring places in the world. Its mountains, rivers, deserts, and beaches offer daily inspiration to those who live and play here.

Our mission is to share the inspiration of the Pacific Northwest lifestyle with women everywhere. Melika performance activewear and swimwear is made in Oregon to fit your life, your style, and your sport.

our process

     design. The Melika design team consists of owner Melissa and pretty much anyone else who happens to be in the store on a day she’s working on designs. We gather input and ideas from all of our employees, and we’re not above soliciting feedback from our favorite customers as well. We figure that there’s no one better to provide opinions on our product than the women who surf, ride, run, and play in them!

     sourcing. Most of the fabric that we use in our apparel is manufactured in the US. As much as possible, we buy “leftover” fabrics from larger brands that don’t use all of the fabric that they order. This allows us to use high quality fabrics without adding more waste to the global supply chain.

     manufacturing. All Melika apparel is manufactured in Oregon. By keeping it local we are able to produce product quickly and build custom orders, we support the local manufacturing industry, and we minimize the environmental impact of transporting finished goods over great distances.
